Racial, religious, gender, age, political, cultural and economic diversity are all passionately defended. Corporations honor, respect and strut their depth and breadth of employee diversity. Here is a new one — experiential diversity. It’s a bit less known and less celebrated. This type of diversity should catch every employer’s attention and make many job seekers feel empowered. Navigating our triple-threat VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous) world of pandemic, racial tensions and job losses will require open minds and compassionate hearts.
